Positive Living Skills
Here at Kids Academy (and other Affinity Education Group operated child care centres), we've partnered with Positive Living Skills, an educational initiative designed to equip young people with essential skills for mental and emotional wellbeing from a young age. The program helps young children develop healthy self esteem and positive relationships, plus gives them tools and strategies that will help them in all aspects of their life, for all of their life.
The Positive Living Skills program will be rolled out across all Kids Academy centres by July 2024.
Possa Bill
As part of the program, children will be introduced to Possa Bill, the leading mascot who will help them develop a range of qualities including kindness, empathy, persistence, patience, growth mindset, personal best, inclusion, inclusion, appreciation, health and nutrition.
Possa Bill is a great role model for children because he:
- Stands tall and knows that his body language can help him feel and look confident.
- Benefits from regular relaxation, and knows the importance of learning and growing and giving his personal best effort (or PB)!
- Knows that you need to try new things, practice and persist if you want to learn and build confidence.
- Loves to be outside in nature as often as possible, and enjoys being active and healthy.
- Is kind, caring, supportive, inclusive and appreciates the simple joys in life.
