Meet Our Team
Hi I'm Erin Barnes and I am the Centre Director at Kids Academy Glenmore Park. I hold a Diploma of Children's Education & Care and have over eight years in child care.
I am passionate about this industry because children project so much love and energy - it’s a wonderful, positive environment to surround yourself in every single day. I find it very rewarding to be part of each child’s journey, watching them learn and grow into confident young learners.
One of my favourite, funniest memories happened when we had a Reptile Show visit our service. During the show I was strategically sitting up the back with a little boy who wasn’t so sure about the reptiles either. Once the show had finished he decided he did want to have a closer look. I let him hop on my back and he started pointing for me to go towards the reptile handler. So I walked on over and explained the situation. My little friend then started shouting and pointing at the curled up bag, “snake!, snake!”… Before I knew it, I had one very excited little boy wiggling on my back and a huge snake wrapped around my neck. I was petrified but the other educators were curling over in fits of laughter! Thank goodness I lived to tell the story.

Nurturing Growth from 0–5 Years

Babies (0-1 years)
Healthy Beginnings Program

Toddlers (1-3 years)
Early Experiences Program

Preschool or Kindergarten (3-5 years)
School Readiness Program
