Reconciliation Action Plan
Our Commitment to Reconciliation
At Kids Academy Early Learning, we believe every child deserves to grow up in a community that values respect, inclusion, and cultural understanding. That’s why we’re proud to be part of Affinity Education Group’s Reconciliation journey, a journey grounded in reflection, learning, and meaningful action.
Through our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), endorsed by Reconciliation Australia, we are taking active steps to celebrate and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, histories and futures, across our centres, curriculum, and organisation.
What Reconciliation Means for Our Centres and Families
When your child attends a Kids Academy centre, they’re immersed in a learning environment that honours Australia’s First Nations peoples - past, present, and future.
Our educators embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into daily routines and learning experiences. This might include:
- Welcoming children with Acknowledgements of Country
- Exploring culture through books, stories, art, and music
- Celebrating events like National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week
- Creating inclusive spaces where children are encouraged to ask questions, embrace diversity, and grow with empathy
We want every child to develop a strong sense of belonging, connection, and pride in the shared history and future of our country.
What’s in Our Reconciliation Action Plan?
Our current Reflect RAP is the first step in a long-term, organisation-wide commitment to Reconciliation.
Through this plan, we are working to:
- Provide cultural responsiveness training for all educators and support teams
- Partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander educators, artists and organisations, including Wandana Aboriginal Education
- Celebrate cultural events meaningfully across our centres
- Increase employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
- Support First Nations-owned businesses in our supply chains
- Embed inclusive practices across every Kids Academy centre
These actions are closely tied to our Lifelong Learning Curriculum, ensuring children engage with First Nations cultures in age-appropriate, respectful and meaningful ways.

Looking Ahead
Reconciliation is not a destination, it’s a journey we take together. At Kids Academy, we are committed to walking this path with care, humility, and purpose. We thank our families, educators, and communities for supporting this important work.
Together, we can help create a more inclusive, respectful, and connected future for all Australians.
