Located on Stubbs Street and close to public transport options, our centre is known for its strong community connections, culturally diverse team, and passion for helping every child grow with confidence and joy. Children thrive in our bright and thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor play areas, where each day brings opportunities to explore, connect, and learn. From sports and language incursions to gardening experiences in every room and our centre-wide veggie pod system, our program is designed to inspire curiosity and promote holistic development. Fresh, healthy meals are prepared onsite each day to support wellbeing and energy for a full day of play and learning.

Meet Our Team
Hi, I’m Doreen Macafee and I’ve been working in the Early Childhood Education sector for over 15 years, and most recently as a service manager for the last 7 years. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood, with a passion for supporting children’s learning and development. I have been privileged to work in partnership with families to support their children through their early years journey.
My personal philosophies derive from the importance of connection, and respectful interactions with children, their families, different cultural backgrounds, and the community that surrounds us. We provide the highest quality care and education for children when we work with the families, using your input into our programs will enhance the effectiveness of what we do to support your child’s growth from the day they start. “It takes a village to raise a child” - with 2 young boys of my own I understand the trust and confidence you place in the hands of the Educators, I want to make the transition as smooth as I can, whilst building the foundation of a great relationship and connection between home and childcare.
We want to be able to support children’s learning in a caring, nurturing a responsive environment that helps them grow and develop in the early years, ensuring they have the best start to their journey into primary school. I’m very excited about our journey forward, establishing our service within the community.

Nurturing Growth from 0–5 Years
At Kids Academy, we offer more than just childcare — we provide high-quality early education in a warm, welcoming, and secure environment for children aged six weeks to five years. With experienced educators, age-appropriate learning programs, and a strong focus on emotional wellbeing, we support your child to grow in confidence, curiosity, and capability, every step of the way.
Babies (0-1 years)
Healthy Beginnings Program
Grounded in attachment theory and relationship practices, this program focuses on building secure, responsive relationships between babies and their educators. With nurturing care and emotional attunement, we support babies’ overall wellbeing and development.
Toddlers (1-3 years)
Early Experiences Program
Inspired by the Abecedarian Approach, our toddler program emphasises language-rich interactions, such as conversational reading and learning games. These early experiences build the foundations for strong communication, social skills, and cognitive growth.
Preschool or Kindergarten (3-5 years)
School Readiness Program
Through Project-Based Learning, children are encouraged to explore big ideas, solve problems, and collaborate with others. This hands-on, inquiry-driven approach develops critical thinking, independence, and a love of learning that lasts.
