Enrolment & Getting Started

You can book a tour of your preferred centre online or contact us directly. Our team will walk you through the enrolment process and answer any questions you may have.

Some of our centres have waitlists depending on demand and your child’s age. We recommend joining as early as possible to secure your preferred days and start date.

We welcome children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age. Our structured learning environments cater to Babies (0–1 years), Toddlers (1–3 years), and Preschool/Kindergarten (3–5 years).

Understanding Child Care Subsidy (CCS)

The CCS helps reduce the cost of approved early learning and care. Your level of subsidy depends on your family income, activity level, and service type.

Yes. Once you’ve enrolled, our team can guide you through the CCS steps and help ensure your enrolment is correctly set up through Centrelink.

Most Australian families are eligible. Use the Services Australia CCS estimator or speak with your Centre Manager for personalised guidance.

Your out-of-pocket costs depend on your CCS percentage and your chosen days. Your Centre Manager can provide a detailed quote based on your circumstances.

Daily Routine & Centre Life

Children enjoy a well-rounded day that includes indoor and outdoor play, inquiry-based learning, group activities, nutritious meals, rest, and relaxation. Activities are guided by our educators and aligned with your child’s interests and developmental stage.

We provide nappies, wipes, sunscreen and meals. Please pack a water bottle, wide-brimmed hat, a spare change of clothes, and any comfort items your child may need.

Yes. For infants, we follow your baby’s personal routine as closely as possible. This includes bottle times, naps, and comfort strategies.

Learning & School Readiness

We deliver the exclusive Lifelong Learning Curriculum, aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and grounded in research. Our programs evolve with your child’s age and development.

Our School Readiness Program focuses on literacy, numeracy, problem-solving, and emotional confidence. With programs like Big Thinkers STEM and Positive Living Skills, we help children transition smoothly to formal schooling.

Yes. You’ll receive regular updates through our secure centre app, Storypark, including photos, learning stories, and your child’s Progress Record. Educators are always happy to chat in person, too.

We do. Our educators provide inclusive care and partner with families and specialists to support each child’s growth.

Food & Nutrition

Yes. Our Healthy Menu includes breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and a late snack, all cooked fresh each day in our on-site kitchens.

Yes. Children with allergies or special dietary requirements are identified through colour-coded placemats and Food ID cards. Our kitchen team follows strict food safety protocols.

We encourage children to try new foods in a supportive, no-pressure environment. Our educators offer positive reinforcement and model healthy eating behaviours.

Safety & Wellbeing

We go above and beyond to keep your child safe. Our centres feature secure entry points, regular safety audits, monthly emergency drills with Safety Bear, sun safety protocols, and ongoing staff training in child protection and supervision.

If your child shows signs of illness, we’ll contact you immediately and ask that they be collected. This helps protect the health of all children and staff.

Yes, with written permission and clear instructions. All medications are stored securely and administered by trained educators.

Our centres follow strict cleaning routines throughout the day, including sanitising toys and high-touch surfaces. Children are encouraged to practice good hygiene, including regular handwashing.

Communication & Family Engagement

Our secure app shares daily information about your child’s meals, sleep, nappy changes, and learning activities. Educators are also available for a chat at drop-off and pick-up times.

Yes. You’re welcome to speak with educators anytime or request a formal catch-up with your Room Leader or Centre Manager.

Yes. From special celebrations to learning showcases, we love involving families in centre life.

Fees, Absences & Extras

No. Kids Academy centres are closed on all public holidays. You will not be charged fees for those days.

Fees still apply for absences, but you may use your allowable absence days under CCS (up to 42 per financial year).

Yes. Activities like music, yoga, sustainability programs and movement classes are included at no additional cost at most centres.

All of our educators hold, or are actively working towards, nationally recognised early childhood qualifications. They also participate in ongoing professional development through the Affinity Learning Academy.
